If you’re a member of the Lake Geneva Country Club and you’d like to live on the lake, there’s a spot for you that’s rather perfect. In this spot the club is walkable on the shore path, or golf cart-able on private roads, and if you’d like to watch the club’s fireworks you can do so from your pier. This stretch of the 700 Club works really well for club members, of that there can be no doubt. But what if you’re not a member? Then this stretch works well for you, too. Perfectly level lawns, uniform frontages, no association piers nearby, and high quality parcel depth means the market loves this stretch as well. If you think all of this sounds nice, you probably should have been working with me this spring, because I just sold another lakefront in this coveted neighborhood.
Over the past 24 months there have been 11 lakefront sales on Geneva to close in excess of $8M. Of those, I’ve closed 10 of them. This year there have now been five sales in this bracket this year (Lackey, $20M, Conference Point $8.1M, and Sidney Smith $8.55M, GWC, and the 700 Club), proving that the Lake Geneva market is in no danger of running out of upper bracket buyers to snap up the limited segment inventory.
For now, I’m grateful to the seller who chose me to represent their property in this market. Sellers have lots of choices for representation, but if they’re looking for a pattern of success and flexibility on marketing approach, there’s a clear path. To the buying family who now gets to spend their weekends lakeside, a similar note of gratitude for choosing me in a sea of “lakefront experts”. Buying or selling on the lakefront? I’m ready to help.
