Is it Spring Yet?

I’m watching the weather channel right now and learning of the snow storm heading our way for tomorrow! And just after Al Gore told me that I’ll be burning up in no time at all. The truth is, this less than pleasant Spring isn’t helping our real estate market one bit. While we’re not affected by a little cold weather the same way that the Florida market is devastated by hurricanes (or even forecasted ones), we’re nonetheless affected by this lame weather. Lake Geneva is a drive to market, and it seems that many buyers are staying put while they wait for a more tolerable weekend to take a drive up to the lake.

The overall vacation home market here is strong right now, with multiple recent sales in every segment of the market. There are however, pockets of weakness presenting values on specific properties right now. What to do if you’re a buyer? Put your jacket on and take the drive up to see if there’s a cold weather deal right up your alley.

I'm David Curry. I write this blog to educate and entertain those who subscribe to the theory that Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is indeed the center of the real estate universe. When I started selling real estate 27 years ago I did so of a desire to one day dominate the activity in the Lake Geneva vacation home market. With over $800,000,000 in sales since January of 2010, that goal is within reach. If I can help you with your Lake Geneva real estate needs, please consider me at your service. Thanks for reading.
