Summer Homes For City People

If you were at the lake this past weekend, I’m hopeful you noticed the newest issue of my magazine. If not, that’s okay, it’ll be available through August anywhere similarly lake-ish things are found. I remember telling my dad about my magazine idea back in 2010, when the concept was in its infancy and my printing experience was nascent. I explained the format and the contents to my dad, he in his living room recliner and me sitting on the couch. He listened somewhat intently, though the news never stopped playing in the background and his eyes rarely left the screen. When I was finished with the explanation he looked at me with rather incredulous eyes and said, “I don’t get it.”

It’s a labor of love, or so people who love something say when it forces them to do something difficult. I can’t tell if the magazine is a labor of love at this point or just purely labor, but I suppose I’ll have another 9 months to contemplate that before I am forced to labor on the 2026 issue. Regardless, I do hope you like the current issue. If you need a spoiler as to the contents: It’s just like the prior issues, but with different photos and a slightly different arrangement of the same words.

About the Author

I'm David Curry. I write this blog to educate and entertain those who subscribe to the theory that Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is indeed the center of the real estate universe. When I started selling real estate 29 years ago I did so of a desire to one day dominate the activity in the Lake Geneva vacation home market. With over $860,000,000 in sales since January of 2010, that goal is within reach. If I can help you with your Lake Geneva real estate needs, please consider me at your service. Thanks for reading.
