South Shore Club

South Shore Club

Well, I did it. I listed pretty much the nicest house in the South Shore Club, and I’m sharing the details with you. I’m not assuming most of you feel like spending $4.2MM, but I am assuming that some of you might know someone who might want to spend $4.2MM. There’s nothing better, or more American than finding a friend or family member to buy a lavish lake home and then forcing them into telling you where they hide the spare key. This 6000+ square foot home is truly a masterpiece in both design and finish, a luxury home that stands out in an association filled with luxury homes. Need a little teaser for proof? There’s more than 100 tons of stone on the exterior of this home alone. See what I mean? Solid.

I had the privilege of having my friends at Ideal Impressions photograph this home yesterday, and you’re seeing the images sprinkled throughout this post. To the right of this you’ll see the postlet advertising the home in more detail, so feel free to email that link to that fancy flush friend who might have a hankering to own one of the most prestigious homes on Geneva Lake. The South Shore Club is aptly located on the south shore of Geneva, about a mile from the Fontana lakefront. While every vacation home in Lake Geneva, no matter how big or how small is a lifestyle buy, this home in this association takes the lifestyle to an entirely different level. The SSC has an unbelievable pool, clubhouse, tennis court, play ground, walking trails, putting green, and lakefront marina that allows each owner to use any one of the fleet of boats that are owned by the club at his or her own discretion.

Pool

Use of these boats, an armada that includes Cobalts, Boston Whalers, and wave runners, is unlimited for each owner and is included in the monthly dues. Buy in here and you’ll never, ever, complain that owning a boat is too much work. Here’s how this works… You’re driving up to the lake on a Friday afternoon. You’re planning on lunch with some friends at your lakeside patio on Saturday, and the weather looks just perfect for an après lunch boat ride. You simply call the concierge, tell her which boat you’d like to use, what time you’d like to use it, and she’ll take care of the rest. Oh, and if you want 6 Diet Cokes, and 4 pina colada coolers on ice waiting for you, she’ll arrange that as well. Take the already fueled up boat for a spin, and throw the dock hand the keys when you’re done. That’s it. It’s a summer boat ride, South Shore Club style.

So now you know how great the association is, but have you been looking at the pictures of this house? The fit and finish in this home is so high end, it takes high end to a higher end. A master bedroom suite to die for, with stunning lakeview, lakeside balcony, spacious master bath

,Kitchen

his and hers walk in closets, and a masonry fireplace. Need more proof? Consider the site built beam work in the lofted ceiling. It’s like you’re sleeping every night in a cathedral built in your honor. 5 more bedrooms, 5 more bathrooms, a first floor office with coffered ceiling and custom built cabinetry, and you still haven’t asked me about the kitchen or the lower level. The kitchen is a gourmet’s delight, and you can trust this foodie when I say that the culinary jealousy I have for this kitchen is unrivaled by any others that I have ever seen. Custom galore, with Sub Zero’s, Dacor stove, dishwasher drawers, two sinks, massive center island, and a floor plan designed by God himself. It’s wonderful. You’ll like it.

The lower level boasts a huge rec room with included flat screen television (there are 6 such tv’s included in this sale), billiard room, full service bar, and exercise room. Knotty Alder trim and doors throughout, finished in a most meticulous fashion

.Living Room

The floors are 7″ Walnut, with a unique hand hewn finish that’s sure to both impress and delight. The lakeside sun room was originally designed to be a three season room, but after seeing the view that the room afforded, it would have been a sin to forgo the room for even a single season, so it’s now a family room complete with heated travertine floor and access to the blue stone patio on the lakeside of the home.

It’s a masterpiece, and I really think you should buy it. You or that rich friend or relative that you’re thinking of right now. Give me a call, or have them give me a call, and I’ll show you one of the most amazing homes on this the most amazing body of water in the entire Midwest. I might even wear a tie, but I’m not going to promise anything.
