Pier 501

Every once in a great while, Lake Geneva offers up one of its prized locations. I could argue that each of the large legacy estates that have been listed over the past three years have each been located in such a prized location, with intense emphasis applied to the sales at Pier 61 and 62 (Hortensia and Glanworth), and less emphasis applied to the currently listed legacy offering. But these are unique locations accompanied by equally unique asking prices that are, even in the robust Lake Geneva lakefront market, attainable for a rare few. For the first time in a long time, Lake Geneva is offering to the general public a rare and highly coveted location, one that comes with an upper bracket asking price that’s far easier for the lakefront market to consider. I’ve said it often about the lakefront market and its geographic preferences: If I receive 100 new buyer leads in any given year, the leading geographic preference of those buyers will be the south shore of the lake, somewhere between Black Point and Indian Hills.
