Abbey Springs Foreclosure Update

Attention my foreclosure loving friends. Hundreds of you have arrived at my site via google searches involving the phrase “abbey springs foreclosures”, and now I finally have some good news for you. A single family home has hit the market in Abbey Springs after going through foreclosure a few months ago. It’s now on the open market as an REO, which means you can buy it direct from the bank at what will amount to a potentially significant savings. By my count, I cannot see any foreclosures on the immediate horizon in this development, and all year I belive I’ve seen just this one foreclosure. 1 out of 590? Strength my friends.

The rest of the market at Abbey Springs continues to move at a rapid pace. There are currently 29 units and homes on the market, with another 3 of those homes pending contracts. 2009 has already seen 12 sales in Abbey Springs, a 400% increase over the 2008 YTD volume. That’s quite a recovery, and all I can attribute it to is the renovation that was bogging down the Abbey Springs market in 2008. The housing options in Abbey Springs vary wildly, but for the most part, a buyer in search of lots of square footage and new construction at a decent price will not be thrilled with Abbey Springs. Such a buyer would be better served in Geneva National, as square footage and fancy finishes abound there for considerably less money. The difference is that Abbey Springs boast amenities that no other local association can touch, and they position these amenities right on the shore of Geneva Lake. When you combine golf, tennis, swimming pools of the indoor and outdoor variety, restaurants, marina and sand beach, you really have what amounts to the most complete association in southeastern Wisconsin.
