8 North Lake Shore Drive

In the olden days it was decided that a home on the lake might as well have an address that was their pier number and a Lake Shore Drive that described the location on the water. In this sense, pier 500 on the South Shore might be called 500 South Lake Shore Drive. Pier 160 on the North Shore might be called 160 North Lake Shore Drive, and on and on. But this common addressing practice sort of falls apart because Pier 800, which would be on the East side of Lake Geneva, isn’t labeled 800 East Lake Shore Drive. In fact, we have no East Lake Shore Drive just as we have no West Lake Shore Drive. It doesn’t matter anyway, because today I’m here to tell you about 8 North Lake Shore Drive, which is appropriate, because this is indeed pier 8(c) on the north side of the lake. Even though 8 North Lake Shore Drive is also callled 8 Hillside Drive and if you really look you’ll find it referred to as 63 Hillside Drive, but enough of that. Here’s the property:
