I just closed on another cottage in the Loch Vista Club today. Closed at $340,000, it represented a great deal for the buyer in this market. It’s strange really. Dozens of buyers walked through that cottage over the three months that I had it on the market. The customers that bought it were the only ones that saw the potential that was there. Not potential in wood, cement and stone. But the potential to have a lifestyle changing vacation home at Lake Geneva. They’re the ones that will enjoy that short little stroll down to the lakefront week in and week out. It’ll be those buyers who get to build a roaring fire on a November afternoon while Autumn draws to a close. It’ll be those buyers that lounge on the pier next summer and return to work on Monday mornings refreshed and rested. Yes, it’ll be those buyers that experience 2009 in an entirely new way.
This sale marked my 9th transaction side in the Loch Vista Club since 1996. That’s more than any other agent in the State over the past 12 years. I grew up in the Loch Vista Club. I enjoy what it is that makes the Loch Vista Club. It’s not always easy to put into words what it is that’s so great about that little Club, but apparently I’m able to do it now and then. I guess I’ve done it now at least 9 times.
