A Geneva lakefront sale this week to tell you about. It was a terrific deal, and as such, it went under contract almost immediately after being listed this winter. The home on the South Shore of Geneva was listed at $1.35MM, and sold for $1.41MM. It’ll certainly help our year end list to sale ratio’s, with a sales price in excess of the asking price. Probably a multiple counter situation, meaning more than one buyer might have had his eye on this fine lake home at the time of acceptance.
This buyer is lucky. He bought at a great price, and he (or she) is going to enjoy this summer like he’s never enjoyed a summer before. I can’t explain to you how your life would change if you had a home on this lake. It’s really something to spend an afternoon on your very own lakeside deck, or head out for an after dinner boat ride on this spectacular lake. Take a spin through Fontana and into Williams Bay, past George Williams College, heading north around Conference Point. Or maybe you’re a bobber. Just kill the engines in the middle of the lake, and read a magazine. Maybe even a book if you’re a better person than I. I do that often actually, but you already knew that. It’s one thing to have Realtors who aren’t even from Lake Geneva tell you how great this lake is, but wouldn’t you rather hear it from a guy who’s spent every summer of his life actually boating on this lake?
Congratulations to this buyer, both for listening to his broker, and to making a lasting monetary and personal investment. Another week, another lakefront sale on Geneva, further proof that our market is stable, our properties liquid, and the only thing missing from this equation is you. I’m available all weekend if you’d like to tour the lakefront with me. I’d love to help you find the perfect lake home at the perfect price.
