If you’ve driven on highway 50, north of Williams Bay, this week, you’ve undoubtedly noticed the massive destruction of trees along that road. It’s disgusting really. I live in Geneva National, and spanning from Geneva National all the way West nearly to Somerset Marine, an overwhelmingly large swath of trees and brush have been cut down on both the North and South sides of the road. It looks terrible, and I hate it. I don’t know exactly what they’re doing to the road, I assume they’re widening the road to ease traffic congestion at the intersection of highways 67 and 50. Whatever the end goal, the current aesthetics are ugly, and disgusting. I’m generally not a tree hugger, but I do find some irony in the fact that homeowners generally need to obtain special permission to cut down any tree of substantial size, yet a state can cut down hundreds of trees at will. I think it’s lame, and if you’ve driven down 50 lately, I’ll bet you agree.

I'm David Curry. I write this blog to educate and entertain those who subscribe to the theory that Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is indeed the center of the real estate universe. When I started selling real estate 27 years ago I did so of a desire to one day dominate the activity in the Lake Geneva vacation home market. With over $800,000,000 in sales since January of 2010, that goal is within reach. If I can help you with your Lake Geneva real estate needs, please consider me at your service. Thanks for reading.
