I hate to always complain on this site, but for those of you who know me, you know that I can be a little demanding of those around me, of course unless you’re a buyer, then you call the shots. I promise. Anyway, at issue today is an ad that I continue to see in local publications. I was sitting at Gordy’s today having a nice little lunch when the ad caught my attention again. It was a real estate ad. An ad from someone working for the green Oak tree. It was an ad with a picture of a person on a beach. A beach with an ocean lapping against it.
I would now like to put to rest any doubts or fears that you may have about Geneva Lake. Geneva Lake is not an ocean. It has never been an ocean. You can see the shore from any spot in your boat, and at no point does the curvature of the earth preclude you from catching a glimpse of the horizon.
To my fellow Realtors… please take a picture of Geneva Lake and use it in your ads. The Gulf of Mexico is indeed pretty, but it’s not located in Walworth County.
