Pier 166 Sells

I think a lot about my clients. I think about the buyers and the sellers, the new to the market types and the long time owners. I think about the move up buyers that work and strive and scrape to improve their positioning on this lake. It’s hard work to find your way to the front row, don’t forget. Passersby might think that everyone on the lake comes from a long line of wealth, a common populist view and suggests the rich don’t outwork and out hustle to accumulate what is theirs. But this is not my experience here. It’s a market fueled by hard work and sacrifice, and while there are plenty of legacy owners there are far more who did something well for a long time and finally found their way to our shores. Respect to everyone in the market, but a special note of respect for the client whom I was proud to represent in this, my latest lakefront sale.

Long time ownership can sometimes become distracted. Too many homes, too many business, too many days in between visits. Sometimes, owners sell because life gets in the way of their lake house aim. But other times, owners somberly realize the time has come, and they seek to transfer their prized home to another owner. The decision is not easy, nor is it happy, but it can be necessary. With that said, I was proud to represent one of the finest families that I’ve ever been chosen to represent. Pier 166, a well-positioned, well-built, well-designed, well-loved home on Pebble Point, has closed.

This was an off-market sale, so if you’re not getting the visibility on both the buy and sell side of this market, we should be talking…

About the Author

I'm David Curry. I write this blog to educate and entertain those who subscribe to the theory that Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is indeed the center of the real estate universe. When I started selling real estate 27 years ago I did so of a desire to one day dominate the activity in the Lake Geneva vacation home market. With over $800,000,000 in sales since January of 2010, that goal is within reach. If I can help you with your Lake Geneva real estate needs, please consider me at your service. Thanks for reading.
