Over the past several years, Fontana has become the prized jewel in the Geneva Lake crown, and it’s really not hard to figure out why. On the lakefront you have Gordy’s and Chuck’s. Two institutions and have brazenly helped several generations blow their diets and damage their livers. Gordy’s Cobalt boats are among the best on the water these days, and the lakefront is bustling with activity May through October. The renovation of the entire village is apparent, with a new stretch of highway, fancy streelights and boulevard landscaping, and a new commercial segment with new restaurant on the West side of Highway 67. Reid park has been improved with new equipment and new bathrooms, and the lakefront has a new beach house.
Yes, Fontana, you are a prize, and the price of your real estate has risen commensurate with your improvements. Many single family and condominium options are available in every price range in the Village, from a two bedroom condo at Abbey Springs in the low $200k’s, a lakefront condo at Fontana Shores for $599k, all the way to a $4MM lakefront home on South Lakeshore Drive.
