This weekend is going to be a pretty fun weekend to be in Lake Geneva. As if every weekend isn’t fun in Lake Geneva, even if the Tribune and Crain’s think you should stay in the hot sweaty city all weekend. As if. So this weekend is the now famous Lobster Boil and Steak Fry at Fontana’s Reid Park. The event runs from 12 noon on Saturday until the last crustacean meets a watery death. It’s a great event, and more than 2,000 people show up to devour lobster and steak. You should be one of them. The setting is fantastic, and you’d be hard pressed to find something better than munching on lobster sitting by the lake in Fontana.
Williams Bay, in an effort to not be completely overshadowed by it’s cooler lakeside brother, hosts the annual Art in the Bay. I don’t need to tell you it’s an art festival, do I? It’s pretty cool, and all day on Saturday artists from around the country will show their genius. The event is held at Edgewater park, otherwise known as Weed Park to my loyal readers and lake lovers everywhere. This is a great weekend to come to the lake, and enjoy some lobster and art. See you at the lake.
