(Weekend rerun from last spring)
Lake Michigan is at it again. Lashing out with its typical destructive force against the very people who for some reason choose to live on its shores. This massive ice shove damaged seawalls, homes, landscaping, and boats. It’s Lake Michigan’s way of saying “why on earth would you want to vacation near me?” This big bully shoved it’s ice in anger, and yet people continue to debate the merits of this violent animal over the merits of my tamer, more beautiful Geneva? Please. Worst yet, this isn’t the first time this sort of thing has happened in Michigan. Lake Michigan, please take your medication.
To be fair, Geneva can be violent at times, but I assure you, violent is a relative term. Need proof? Consider the devastation of the ever powerful Geneva Lake. Just look at that ice shove. Amazing, I know. Next time you get some silly idea about buying a home on the other side of the angry green pond, just remember which body of water is more likely to devour your home in a glacier.
